Q: We Usually contract ATT, what’s the difference?
A: The biggest difference between us and our publicly traded counterparts, is two-fold…your typical ISP only provides the internet circuit and the requirements thereof. From the demarcation forward, project managers are required to coordinate all attributes of the site with the Low-Voltage contractor, at a fee of course. Secondly, the “big 3” (ATT, Verizon, Time Warner) are publicly traded…given the size and market share of those companies, they’re less inclined to provide a superior product; conversely, they’re more apt to squeeze every penny available out of the equation. Opulis delivers more knowledgeable staff, faster response times, and higher quality bandwidth. We do this at a bearable cost, without having to worry about a mass quantity of shareholders.
Q: Do you guarantee your services?
A: Yes, to the extent possible. If a fiber loop is cut in Houston or Louisiana, it may affect service unless you’ve purchased a multi-source redundant connection. We do offer mission-critical solutions if it’s necessary for the project.
Q: What’s the ROI?
A: ROI is always project specific; however, historically ROI was never a part of the Low-Voltage equation. Some projects can begin to see net profit by year 7 year and cash-flow immediately upon 80% occupancy.
Q: What do you mean by “reducing costs”?
A: By shifting our profit center, we are able to reduce infra-structure cost by 20-30% under market.
Q: Who do we call with issues?
A: Your project rep will provide all pertinent contact information; however in most cases after your project is complete, our 800 number will take you directly to a level 3 network engineer that can engage field support in under 2 hours (if needed).
Q: What’s the difference between “Best-Effort” and “Guaranteed Bandwidth”?
A: Most consumer circuits that are advertised as a “1 Gig Connection”, in actuality they are 50-100M connections unless you run a speed test. They are allowed to do this by notating in the fine print, that your contract only requires their “best-effort” – It’s why the internet slows down in the evening when everyone in the community is home. Alternatively, guaranteed bandwidth ensures you get what you’re paying for regardless of any other line traffic.
Q: What do my tenants actually get?
A: Internet, TV Programming, Security Monitoring, IT assistance, TV installation services, and much much more, starting at $100 per month**.
Q: Do you have references?
A: Absolutely! Contact us directly to schedule in-person or conference call interview with one of our clients.
Q: My project is already complete, can we still do business?
A: Yes! We’ll need to review your current MSA, but in most cases, a conversion can be negotiated with you current ISP.
